Tornado Foosball Table Buying GuideWhen it comes to buying a Tornado foosball table, there are many elements to think about before purchasing. Currently, Tornado offers four different models to choose from. We have listed the major differences between each Tornado foosball table so you can pick the right foosball table for you!
Tornado Whirlwind Foosball Table The Whirlwind is the introductory Tornado foosball table. However, do not fear, this table offers all the benefits of a Tornado table, but at a much lower cost. Valley Dynamo made this table for the average home consumer. After all, not everyone wants to spend $1,500 on a foosball table. In addition to having all the benefits of other Tornado tables, the Tornado Whirlwind offers a beautiful oak cabinet with a scratch-resistant laminate. Specs : Rubber handles. 1/8" steel rods. 56"L x 30"W x 36"H 194 lbs.
Tornado Storm Foosball Table The Tornado Storm is the upgrade to the Whirlwind. After all, a “storm” is a bit more violent than a “whirlwind”. The biggest difference between the Tornado Storm vs. the Whirlwind is the chestnut color cabinet and adjustable legs for easy leveling on uneven surfaces. Very helpful if your basement or game room is not perfectly level. Specs : Rubber handles. 1/8" steel rods. 56"L x 30"W x 36"H 226 lbs.
Tornado Cyclone Foosball Table The Cyclone is next in line in the Tornado foosball family. The first thing that you will notice with the Tornado Cyclone is the sleek looking dark cherry cabinet. This cabinet appeals to the foosball player who demands the playability of a Tornado and a nice furniture appearance too. Valley Dynamo created the Tornado Cyclone with bigger steel rods and thicker cabinet. This is beneficial for the avid foosball player. Specs : Solid Maple handles. .156" steel rods. 56"L x 30"W x 36"H 226 lbs.
Tornado F-5 Foosball Table Keeping in line with the weather theme, Tornado recently came out with the F-5 foosball table. True to its name, it is power-packed with features. Some of our favorite features that makes the Tornado F-5 stand out include split-bearing rods that slide smoothly and allow for easy cleaning. Warning! This is not for the average foosball player. If you are looking for one of the best foosball tables on the market, you should strongly consider the F-5. Specs : Solid Maple handles. .156" steel rods. 56"L x 30"W x 36"H 242 lbs.
This was the industry standard used in tournaments and commercial locations - now replaced with the Tournament 3000. Enjoy premium commercial quality without coin-mechanism for the best play in the home. The Tournament 2000 includes all the highest quality features of other Tornado tables, with the addition of chrome-plated hollow steel rods and a patented counter-balance design to the players. The Tournament 2000 foosball table is so choice. If you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up. Specs : Solid Maple handles. .156" steel rods. 56"L x 30"W x 36"H 355 lbs.
Tornado Tournament 3000 Foosball Table The newest creation from Tornado is their top of the line foosball table. The scorekeeper now keeps a higher score and even has a game count scoring area. The Tournament 3000 is so choice. If you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up. Specs : 30"W x 56"L x 36"H 355 lbs.
President of Valley Dynamo issues open letter
The president of Valley-Dynamo recently put out an open letter to the foosball community. Tornado has long been the unrivaled highest standard in foosball table quality. However an announcement from Independent Foosball Promotions that they will use a different brand for upcoming tournaments made some people worried that perhaps Tornado Valley Dynamo was approaching an imminent demise. President Dave Tomizuka dispelled those fears with his letter.
First he listed the benefits of Tornado, which include his staff's passion for foos and the sanctioning of Tornado as the official tables in VIFA, USTSF, and ITSF. He mentioned tournaments on every continent, and while I have no information to the contrary, I would like to see reports of a tournament in Antarctica. Also Tomizuka mentioned the patents which Valley Dynamo holds and have become so familiar as standard foosball fare. Then he plays politics, saying politely that a fresh manufacturer can potentially benefit the game as a whole, while implying that it's also likely they will screw everybody up with an inferior product.
Lastly he tempts foosball players with a little teaser of two new products coming out soon. We're ready and waiting Dave, and don't worry, I don't think anyone will threaten Tornado's position as the premium foosball table anytime soon.
